Delete your SKAM account

In the app, open Settings → Security → Account management → Delete account. You can also submit a request here without reinstalling the app.

Submitting this form does not immediately delete an account. A SKAM account has no email or phone number: it is a key pair kept on your phone, so only the account itself proves that it is yours, and a public handle or reply email alone is never enough. We reply by email within 30 days with how to delete it:

• If you can open SKAM: Settings → Security → Account management → Delete account. The account is deleted at once.
• If you lost the phone but have your recovery phrase or SKAM password: install SKAM, restore the account, then delete it the same way.
• Without the phone and the recovery phrase nobody can prove that the account is yours, so it is not deleted because of an email. Its messages are end-to-end encrypted and nobody can read them; the server keeps only the profile name, handle and public key.

Never send your password, PIN, private key or messenger/wallet recovery phrase. Deletion does not erase blockchain transactions, wallet funds or copies saved by other people.

The messenger and its crypto wallet have separate recovery information. Keep your wallet recovery phrase before uninstalling the app. Exported backups must be removed from the storage locations you chose.
